Congressman Burgess Endorses Ted Cruz on this Morning’s Show

Ted Cruz

We enjoyed being a part of some breaking news today in the Senate primary runoff between Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst and former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz. Congressman Dr. Michael Burgess joined us in the studio the entire 8am hour for some healthcare talk, but at the end of the segment, he made an endorsement in the race:

“I’ve come to the conclusion that, no matter what happens, we’re going to have a good conservative Senator next year to take Kay Bailey’s place, but honestly, we need a fighter … we need a fighter bad. I’ll be voting for Ted Cruz at the end of this month.”

Doctor in the House

Monday – 8:00amCT – Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D.

Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling on the Affordable Care Act provided us with new questions, not only about the implications of the law, but about the Republican strategy to repeal and replace it. Congressman Burgess  joins us in studio for a one hour special to shed light on these issues, and he’ll be taking your calls, as well.

After spending nearly three decades practicing medicine in North Texas, Congressman Burgess was first elected to Congress in 2002, and re-elected four times, most recently in 2010. During his time on Capitol Hill he has earned a reputation as a problem-solver who seeks sensible solutions to the challenges Americans face.

He is also the author of the book Doctor in the House: A Physician Turned Congressman Offers His Prescription for Scrapping Obamacare — And Saving America’s Medical System.
