Family Research Council … Hate Group?

You’ve seen her on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and Sally’s op-eds and essays have appeared in the Washington Post, USA Today, Time Magazine, US News and World Report, Politico, Reuters, and the Guardian among other outlets
Yesterday’s shooting at the Family Research Council‘s headquarters in Washington has been heavily discussed in the blogosphere, as well as in social media circles. Sally chimed in with her thoughts via Twitter which sparked a firestorm of responses.
What was her initial tweet?
“Heart goes out to Family Research Council staff. We should use words, never violence, to express dissent.”
… and then she said this:
“Yes, Family Research Council is a hate group — and calling them such condemns the climate of violence FRC has encouraged .”
